The Hindu god Rama is worshipped at the Kothandaramaswamy Temple at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. The temple is categorized as one of the Vaishnavate tradition’s 108 Abhimana Kshethrams. Situated 8.1 miles (13 km) south of Rameswaram, it is the southernmost point of the island.[1] The temple is the sole old building that was spared from the 1964 storm that destroyed Dhanushkodi. The gods of Hanuman, Vibhishana, Lakshmana, Sita, and Rama are present at the temple. Sea all around, the temple is still a popular tourist destination. It is conveniently located near Rameswaram.
