From 2002 until 2007, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam presided over the Republic of India as president. During his presidency, Kalam worked to expand the country’s nuclear weapons program. In addition, Kalam created a 20-year action plan for India’s technological advancement to lead to economic prosperity.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s grave is located near Rameswaram and has become a popular tourist destination recently. Since its official opening in 2016, hundreds of people have visited the site to pay their final respects to the president of the people. There are a number of images of the president on exhibit that provide insight into his life, ranging from early years to his final days.
